To put this in some perspective:
-16,000 years ago the depressions that will become the Great Lakes were fully formed, and the region became ice-free approximately 5,000 years ago, at the end of the last ice age.
-The oldest Homo Sapiens were on earth around 40,000 years ago.
-Wooly Mammoths and Saber Tooth Tigers became extinct about 10,000 years ago.

The Project
I plan on building three chairs from this extraordinarily rare and valuable wood once the customers step forward and identify themselves. There are many levels of quality and figure available. The chairs I build of this wood will be of the highest figure "flame" and "burl" stock matched for grain, color and figure. Two of the chairs will be a matched custom pair (although they can be different sizes) and the third will be either a regular or an armless chair dependant on the client's wish. An armless chair would be ideally suited to either a musician or a quilter who prefers to have the arms out of the way. All three of these will be "museum" quality chairs like my Amboyna Burl chairs.
